Buffett's 5/25 Rule is a concept where you focus on the first 5 goals on your list and DO NOT TOUCH the other 20 unless you are done with the 5.

Beautifully simple concept. While most people live their lives half-heartedly, making little to no progress on what really counts due to distributing their energies across the less important goals, as and when circumstances allow.

For example if goal 25 is to learn a new language which is only possible during weekends, those hours which one get's to spend with family/kids, one simply chooses the latter, thereby ignoring the goal anyway. Little to no progress is made on this goal and any attempts to work on this goal with the little time available do not provide any satisfaction of having made progress. Meanwhile the goals that really matter (1 to 5) suffer as it is written off as an opportunity cost. In this way, is it then not better to eliminate the other 20 (atleast from one's immediate vision), until one actually completes the first 5?

Feel free to give me your insights on this :)
